My pay day treat this month was getting Alisa Burke’s class The Art of Abstraction.
I have spent the last few days watching the videos, totally mesmerised by the infinite possibilities of expression abstract art offers.
It might not look like much when you look at it, but it feels a massive whole when you make it and experience it first hand.
This is my first attempt at “proper” big abstract art
I always start a piece with the only certainty that after the end of the sitting I will call it done.
With this piece, I have found myself keeping adding – and still thinking of adding more!! This is so unusual for me but in her class Alisa encourages us to trust the process, which I have totally embraced.
This is my piece so far
Adding eyes here and there and black India ink messy brushstrokes using a small brush.
Now I’m thinking white splatters – and maybe drips. Shall I or shan’t I? Who knows?…
To be continued…
