My “Alisa Burke Meets Mindy Lacefield” Poster

I have been watching video classes from Alisa Burke and Mindy Lacefield for the last few weeks, and I just love the total freedom in their style.
Learning from them is so enriching and so liberating.
Mindy’s faces are raw, scribbly and childlike, but so cute, that I’ve started experimenting with this style rather than stick to “polished and pretty” faces.
Combined with Alisa’s abstract graffiti style on a big scale – I’m starting to find it harder to work small!! – I have created this torn poster, made on remnant reel of paper from work that was about to be binned!!! I call this recycling šŸ˜‰
