Inspired by Mindy Lacefield’s class, “Primitive Doll“, these two little dolls are my first ever attempt at free motion stitching.

I have been experiencing problems with both my machines, so I guess it’s all down to practice and fiddling with the machine settings to find what’s right for this project.

These two turned out fine, I think, even if I haven’t included stuffed legs for them as in the class. That’s for when I’m up and running problem-free with the machine, I guess!!!!

The mermaid doll is also inspired by another of Mindy’s class, “Magical Mermaid“. Killing two birds with one stone 😉
