For this video, I am creating a very intuitive collage of each season, using only what I have on hand around me.
Only using a random variety of scrapbook papers, cutting shapes, washi tapes and doodling, I created a representation of each season on my page.
SUPPLIES USED
- a variety of scrapbook papers, different sizes and thickness
- Faber Castell Pitt brush pens in black (regular and big)
- scissors
- Crafter’s Companion double sided tape dispenser
- magazine pages
- washi tapes
- Posca paint pens
- Pebeo 4Artist paint pens
- silver plastic stars
- black biro pen
- Pentel brush pen in black
- Muji gel pen 0.5 in Black
- Maped brush kids markers
PROCESS
I started by dividing my double page spread into 4 equal-ish parts, each representing each season of the year.
Processing very intuitively, I selected colours and patterns from a selection of scrapbook papers, that reminded me of each season, and adhered on each part.
I created some shapes by cutting from the scrapbook papers to add some more defined elements to my seasons.
For summer, I used an old Karen Miller ad from a magazine and cut out the model to adhere her on my summer section. The colours of her top and her sunglasses reminded me of summer.
i added some doodles and outlines to define my cut out shapes as well as bring variety.
I then added a variety of washi tapes in each season section as finishing touches.
